This book examines the sociology of a Palestinian state in formation from the creation of the PLO in the mid-sixties until the establishment of the Palestinian Authority following the Oslo Accord in 1993. It addresses the relationship between the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian civil society and the attempts at state-building despite Israel’s opposition.

Following are some titles: "Israel's Economic Strategy for the Middle East", "The Palestinian Political System after Oslo", and "The Formation of the Palestinian Elite". He also has many contributions in Arab and foreign periodicals. He is currently co-editor of "Majallat al-Dirasat al-Filastiniyah".
