Palestine Internationally: Rise of the Right Wing in the World and Re-examining the Challenges

Abstract: 

This book consists of several research papers that were prepared, presented and discussed by various scholars and academics, within a workshop organized by the Institute for Palestinian Studies, in November 2017, titled “Palestinian Question: Status & Prospects”. The various chapters of the book revolve around the current international situation via two distinctive approaches. The first discusses encompassing transitions that affected many states & centers. The second discusses transitions inside specific countries including the USA, Russia, European Union, India & Latin America. While the workshop was unable to cover China and African Sub-Saharan’s states, they were referred to in passing within the framework of the general discussions. The workshop focused on the relationship between International institutions and the Palestinian question, and on the International Solidarity Campaign with the Palestinian People.

Jamil HILAL is a sociologist and author. He wrote a number of books and articles. Following are some titles: "Israel's Economic Strategy for the Middle East", "The Palestinian Political System after Oslo", and "The Formation of the Palestinian Elite". He also has many contributions in Arab and foreign periodicals. He is currently co-editor of "Majallat al-Dirasat al-Filastiniyah".

Munir Fakher Eldin holds a PhD in History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from New York University and is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies at Birzeit University.
