WAKIM WAKIM, a practicing lawyer, is secretary and spokesman of the NGO Association for the Defense of the Rights of the Internally Displaced in Israel. He was interviewed in Shafr `Amr, Israel, by RIAD BEIDAS in December 2000, with follow-up questions on 12 May 2001. Beidas is a Palestinian researcher and journalist currently living in Vienna.
