International Aid to the West Bank and Gaza Strip

Abstract:

Though this booklet discusses with a critical eye the issue of foreign funding and its diversified agendas, it also intends to examine and scrutinize. Hence it does not suppose that the foreign funding is absolutely disadvantageous and should be disposed of, as it does not exempt the donors from their responsibilities towards Palestine and the Palestinians on one side, as well as the Palestinian authority, institutions and people, on the other side, from their responsibility to accept with unjust conditions, or seek other alternatives to diminish their reliance on foreign aid. In lieu of suggesting random fictional solutions, the booklet proposes the exploitation of available international mechanism to enhance the competency of aid along with assuming this responsibility to all involved parties.
