The series contains digital images of three volumes consisting of 33 issues of al-Ḥasnā', a monthly women's magazine Volume 1 covers the period 20 June 1909 - 20 May 1910. Volume 2 covers the period 20 July 1910 - 20 June 1911. Volume 3 covers the period 20 October 1911 - 20 June 1912. Each volume begins with a table of contents. al-Ḥasnā' was established in 1909 by Georges Nicolas Baz, and published in Beirut by Hadiqat al-Akhbar press until 1912. Its French subtitle '(La Belle) Revue Feminine Morale Sociale' translates as 'a women's ethical and social magazine'. Each volume has been signed by Georges Nicolas Baz, and bears a dedication to the al-Aqsa Mosque Library. The magazine was noted for often containing photographs of famous European women The original publications were printed on paper, measuring 22 x 15 cm.
