al-Ḥasnā' was established in 1909 by Georges Nicolas Baz, and published in Beirut by Hadiqat al-Akhbar press until 1912. Its French subtitle '(La Belle) Revue Feminine Morale Sociale' translates as 'a women's ethical and social magazine'. Each volume has been signed by Georges Nicolas Baz, and bears a dedication to the al-Aqsa Mosque Library. The magazine was noted for often containing photographs of famous European women
The original publications were printed on paper, measuring 22 x 15 cm.
